Back to Reality

Finally taking a minute to write a quick post –  and wow, I just realized there’s been a lot of things that I’ve missed out on posting, so maybe it won’t be that QUICK…..

The last two weeks have been a bit hectic with fall festivities, moving back to Florida, visiting friends/babies/family/puppies and getting settled back in to reality.

It was EXTREMELY bittersweet leaving the beautiful weather and fall colors in Richmond and coming back to the heat and humidity of Florida IN NOVEMBER! But I took a couple days off work to enjoy my last few days in Richmond.

HALLOWEEN was spent walking around Hanover Avenue which has been voted as one of the top places to see for Halloween.  The streets were closed off and every house was decorated differently – I walked the street twice and couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. img_1942

The next day my parents, sister and niece/nephew drove up to the mountains and visited Crabtree Falls! It was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed hiking up the mountains – until we realized it was taking much longer than we had anticipated and we got a later start than we wanted, so couldn’t go all the way to the top, but we got to see everything we needed!

Drove back home on Friday (crying the entire way – that’s clearly an exaggeration, but I was very sad to be heading home – I definitely was not ready to come back) Unfortunately the drive back was not that pleasant 1) there was a 9 lb dog on my lap the ENTIRE way 2) it rained the last five hours 3) I need new windshield wipers…..

Caught up with friends over the weekend and right back to the swing of things on Monday going to Pure Barre at 6am and heading back to an office….where I put on heels for the first time in six months. I wanted to get right to my “normal” and  I’m not going to lie – going to Pure Barre every day at 6am definitely took it’s toll on me and I was in bed before 10:00pm most nights! I am SUPER sore after six straight days of it, but it definitely feels great to be back!  Apparently the workout I was doing in Richmond wasn’t as tough as the Pure Barre!

Should be ready to post a bit more this week since things will have calmed down, but wanted to drop in with a quick recap!
